Beautiful family bike ride, barbecue & balloons. Helping kids in crisis. What's not to like? This day is filled with lots of serious cruising on bikes, food and the good times of a family carnival. All to help and protect area children in crisis. Bike for Shelter 2012 will include the Shelter to Shelter 12-mile scenic loop showcasing the new 2nd shelter off Blue Mountain Road, along with the two-mile Fort Missoula Fun Ride and the Bike Rodeo where kids can earn a medal. Enjoy live musical entertainment, a yummy lunch, cotton candy and snow cone treats. Kids won’t want to miss the sack races, face painting, miniature horses, jumping gyms, bean bag toss, parachute games, prizes and tons more. So join us.... have yourself a great Saturday and know you're helping kids who really need you. Helmets are required. Children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult at all times. Schedule of Events 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Registration Open START TIMES: 9:30a.m. - 9:45a.m. Shelter to Shelter 12-mile Loop* This is a beautiful ride along the Bitterroot River. It starts at the Fort Missoula shelter on the CMC campus, loops out to our new shelter (off Blue Mountain Road) and back to the Fort Missoula shelter. Bicyclists must complete this ride within two hours. 9 a.m. - Noon Bike Rodeo Attention Kids! Test your bicycle safety skills and earn a medal in the Bike Rodeo course as you ride through the Crazy Crossroads, Demon Driveway and others. 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Fort Missoula 2-mile Fun Ride Kids can display their bicycle skills on this fun loop into the beautiful, historic Fort Missoula area. Safety caution: please ride single file until you reach the Fort Missoula complex. 11:00 a.m. - 1 p.m. Lunch, music, prizes and festivities! 1:30 p.m. Thank you for coming!  See you next year!
